I know there are good reasons to lay things out by hand but I was curious about the result with auto-routing and while the number of VIAs seems excessive the traces seem to be logically correct. The traces are all the way they are because of the auto-routing by Fritzing.

The overhang of the ESP32 outline is intentional – I will be using rows of header pins.

12 are simple to assemble by and or using a assembly machine. Your design doesn’t require special considerations in regards to power, thus I would simply select components in a simple to handle size. Resistors are Selected based on their resistance value and power dissipation. LEDs are selected based on their forward voltage, current and colour. Voltage and current rating of the switches are also important. You could sample some SMD switches in various sizes and with different enable forces and see which ones suit your application. When selecting SMD momentary switches the size and force to press that button are important. I also suggest to use Kicad for PCB projects, its easy enough to learn quickly but also enables you to make advanced designs later on. I brecommend to use a ground plane for easier routing and shorter return paths on your board. The feather board sticks out of the PCB, the traces are not very well sorted. when characters arrive over the serial port.I took a look at your design and would recommend to clean it up. LiquidCrystal_I2C lcd(0x3F,16,2) // set the LCD address to 0x3F for a 16 chars and 2 line display * Displays text sent over the serial port (e.g. This code will print what you have entered from Arduino IDE's serial monitor window to the second line on LCD screen. You must setup the library into your ~/Arduino/library folder first to run this code. I have attached the LCD I2C Serial Display Library that I found on web. īefore any further work, make sure perform test for response from I2C Hardware using I2C Scanning Code from previous post. Now, I found I2C LCD fritzing part at least. * Again, I can't find my ESP32 Do-it DevKit and GY-88 Fritzing parts, so I have used similar ones to draw. Set-up your cable connections as following fritzing connection image. Now, since the first I2C programming on ESP32 was done successfully, I decided to add more items to see what I can do with my ESP32 DevKit.
