So the only bug so far was the green mission icon over Vegeta's head. None were available for the swapped character, so in that regard, the change was pretty much successful.
No giant form, but all variants of super saiyan became available. In terms of skills, the swap from namek to saiyan also changed all available skills. Talking to him gave you his generic speech, and even doing other missions and returning to see if anything changed was of no avail. After beating the living lights out of him (without even transforming myself) he remained with the green mission icon above his head. It was nothing but Vegeta wanting to fight my saiyan in his SSB form, which is the bonus from this area when you use a saiyan character.

Though when entering the world, a jaw magically appeared and all my attribute points were returned to me. The first thing that happened was that upon reaching the character select screen, the character had no jaw. As a precautionary move, before I did all this, I made sure my namekian didn't have any namek exclusive clothing and skills on him. I changed my level 99 namekian to male saiyan, then saved the file and compressed it back into it's regular format. The resulting file was what I was able to open with the editor. Before I could edit, I had to toss my save file into the decompression program. It's a very basic one that only allows race, height and weight changes.
